I’m a freelance journalist based in Glasgow
I write mainly about the built environment, most recently as features editor at Construction News, where I commissioned and edited longform reporting and opinion pieces.
My work has exposed flaws in the rollout of government building safety policy, earning appearances on BBC Radio 4 and 5 and mentions in The Observer and BBC News. I have written colourful deep dives into the dynamics of property development, challenged the construction industry’s persistent mental health shortcomings and taken readers round some of the country’s most fascinating construction sites.
Since graduating from Oxford University, where I read Philosophy, Politics and Economics, I have also profiled global culture and design projects at Monocle, optimised CNN’s journalism for digital audiences and drawn out insights from top advertising creatives at Contagious.
Outside of journalism, I’m working towards an MSc in City Planning at the University of Glasgow.
